Institutional affiliation was formally established with the State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, enhancing compliance with national academic regulations under BRIN guidelines. October 2024
Senarai: Journal of Islamic Heritage and Civilization was officially established as a peer-reviewed academic journal focusing on Islamic studies, classical thought, and civilization. The founding vision aimed to bridge tradition and contemporary discourse in Southeast Asian scholarship.
November 2024
The journal obtained its official ISSN registration from the ISSN Indonesia Center – BRIN, marking its legal recognition as a periodical publication. December 2024
The journal was indexed by BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine), one of the world’s largest search engines for scholarly open access content. This improves its international visibility and facilitates discovery by global researchers and academic institutions. View listing: BASE Search.
February 2025
Senarai was indexed in Garuda – National Publication Index curated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of Indonesia. This indexation reinforces its visibility within Indonesian academia, especially in Islamic heritage, culture, and theology. See index: Garuda Index.

In the same month, the journal also adopted an Open Access policy for all published issues under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license, applied retroactively. This ensures that past and future publications are freely accessible to the public, supporting wider dissemination and ethical knowledge sharing.
June 2025
In a move toward global academic integration, the editorial board welcomed distinguished scholars from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Their expertise in Islamic philosophy, civilization, and Southeast Asian thought enhances the journal’s academic scope and editorial quality. Newly joined editors include:

August 2025
Senarai further strengthened its ethical commitment and editorial integrity by appointing Sarkawt Tawfeeq Sidiq from the University of Germian, Iraq as a new member of the editorial board. His expertise and academic background bring valuable perspectives, enriching the journal’s capacity to uphold scholarly ethics and broaden its international collaboration.

In the same month, the journal was also indexed in Europub, a prominent European database for scholarly journals. Inclusion in Europub increases international discoverability, enhances citation potential, and positions the journal within a global academic network, thereby strengthening its impact and credibility among researchers worldwide.

Senarai: Journal of Islamic Heritage and Civilization is honored to welcome Assoc. Prof. Aizan Binti Ali @Mat Zin from Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as a distinguished member of the editorial board. She is recognized for her expertise in multiple fields, including:
