Senarai: Journal of Islamic Heritage and Civilization has developed through a series of institutional, editorial, and indexing milestones that reflect its commitment to scholarly quality, open access, and international visibility.

Since 2024
Institutional affiliation was formally established with UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. This step strengthened compliance with academic governance standards and supported ethical oversight, reviewer management, and institutional accountability.
October 2024
The journal was officially established as a peer-reviewed academic platform dedicated to Islamic studies, classical thought, and civilization. Its founding purpose was to connect tradition with contemporary scholarly debate in Southeast Asian contexts.
November 2024
The journal received its official ISSN registration from the ISSN Indonesia Center – BRIN, confirming its legal recognition as a periodical publication and enabling proper archiving, bibliographic control, and database inclusion.
December 2024
The journal was indexed by BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine), expanding its discoverability within the global open-access ecosystem and improving accessibility for researchers and institutions.
February 2025
Senarai was indexed in Garuda, the Indonesian national publication index. This improved the journal’s visibility in national academic circles, especially in Islamic heritage, culture, and theology.
In the same month, the journal adopted an Open Access policy for all issues under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license, ensuring free public access and supporting broad, ethical knowledge dissemination.
June 2025
The editorial board welcomed scholars from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), strengthening the journal’s international profile and editorial depth in Islamic philosophy, civilization, and Southeast Asian thought.

Senarai appointed Sarkawt Tawfeeq Sidiq from the University of Germian, Iraq to the editorial board, reinforcing the journal’s ethical commitment and broadening its international academic network.
In the same month, the journal was indexed in Europub, improving discoverability and strengthening its position within the wider scholarly publishing landscape.
September 2025

Senarai welcomed Assoc. Prof. Aizan Binti Ali @Mat Zin from Universiti Malaya as a distinguished editorial board member. Her expertise covers history of civilizations, manuscriptology, Islamic educational institutions, Islamic studies, and biography.
