Senarai: Journal of Islamic Heritage and Civilization was established in October 2024 as a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to Islamic studies, classical thought, and the development of civilization. Since its establishment, the journal has continuously developed its editorial standards, publication management, and international academic network, with a commitment to scholarly quality, open access, and responsible knowledge dissemination.

In November 2024, Senarai received its official ISSN registration from the ISSN Indonesia Center – BRIN (View ISSN Record). The journal was subsequently indexed in BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine) in December 2024, expanding its discoverability within the international academic community.

In February 2025, Senarai was indexed in Garuda, Indonesia's national academic publication index. During the same month, the journal adopted a full Open Access policy under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license, ensuring free public access to all published works.

Throughout 2025, Senarai continued to expand its international editorial network. In June, scholars from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), namely Prof. Muhammad Mumtaz Ali, Assoc. Prof. Abdulwahed Jalal Nori, and Prof. Solehah Binti Hj Yaacob, joined the editorial board. In August, Sarkawt Tawfeeq Sidiq from the University of Germian, Iraq, was appointed to the editorial board. During the same month, the journal was also indexed in Europub.

In September 2025, Senarai welcomed Assoc. Prof. Aizan Binti Ali @Mat Zin from Universiti Malaya as an editorial board member. Her academic expertise encompasses the history of civilizations, manuscript studies, Islamic educational institutions, Islamic studies, and biography.

In the same month, Senarai established a scholarly publication assurance partnership with Universitas Islam Bandung (UNISBA) to strengthen publication quality, peer-review standards, academic integrity, and institutional collaboration. The journal was also officially indexed in Index Copernicus (View Index Copernicus Record).

These developments reflect Senarai's ongoing commitment to advancing scholarly communication, preserving Islamic intellectual heritage, and contributing to the study and development of civilization through responsible, transparent, and internationally connected academic publishing.
