About the Journal

Senarai: Journal of Islamic Heritage and Civilization (ISSN: 3089-2864) is a scholarly journal dedicated to the in-depth examination of the complex interrelationships between Islamic philosophical thought, historical developments, and the emergence and evolution of civilizations. The journal aims to serve as a comprehensive platform for researchers, scholars, and academics to explore and disseminate knowledge on the multifaceted ways in which Islamic philosophies have both influenced and been shaped by historical events and societal advancements. Senarai welcomes submissions that encompass a broad spectrum of topics, including the philosophical foundations of historical narratives within Islamic contexts, comparative studies analyzing Islamic philosophies alongside other cultural and historical frameworks, the significant contributions of Islamic scholars to global intellectual heritage, the profound influence of Islamic thought on diverse fields such as science, art, architecture, and literature, and rigorous methodological approaches to the study of Islamic history and civilization.

The Editorial Board cordially invites original contributions written in Bahasa Indonesia, English, or Arabic that have not been previously published and are not currently under consideration for publication by any other publisher.

Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts that clearly fall within the defined scope of Senarai. Prior to submission, authors are strongly advised to carefully review the information provided in the Publication Ethics statement, which outlines the ethical standards and expectations for all parties involved in the publication process. It is important to note that all articles published in Senarai undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process. Consequently, the final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of a submitted scientific article rests with the Editorial Board, and this decision will be based on a thorough evaluation of the peer reviewers' recommendations and the manuscript's scholarly merit.

To ensure a smooth and efficient submission process, authors are requested to carefully read and fully understand the Author's Guidelines for manuscript preparation. Authors submitting a manuscript to the editors are expected to strictly comply with the prescribed Author's Guidelines and utilize the provided template. Manuscripts that do not adhere to the specified guidelines or are submitted in a different format will be returned to the authors or rejected by the editorial team prior to the commencement of the peer-review process. The editorial team will only proceed with manuscripts that meet the stipulated formatting requirements.

The Editorial Board of Senarai: Journal of Islamic Heritage and Civilization is pleased to announce the publication of Volume 1  Number 3, 2025, which comprises eleven articles of particular interest from four (4) different countries (Malaysia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye). These articles reflect the diversity and depth of the history and phenomenology of religion from an Islamic perspective.
